Face Data and Camera Access (TrueDepth API)

O Alarm! may use the TrueDepth camera system on compatible devices to enable wake-verification features, such as real-time face presence and attention checks, ensuring the alarm can only be dismissed when you’re truly awake. These checks may include simple head-pose or gaze confirmations to prevent accidental or unintended silencing of the alarm.

  • We do not collect, store, or transmit any data obtained through the TrueDepth camera.
  • All facial data is processed in real time and remains on your device.
  • We do not use this data for identification, authentication, advertising, or analytics.
  • The data is never shared with third parties.

These features are used solely to enhance user experience and are not essential to use the app. You can disable camera access at any time in your device settings.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Location

Alarm Kit

If you pair O Alarm! with an alarm kit or similar third-party hardware, O Alarm! only communicates the minimum necessary signals to operate the feature. O Alarm! does not collect or store personal data from the alarm kit. Any data handled by the alarm hardware is governed by that manufacturer’s privacy policy. Ensure you follow the vendor’s security guidelines and keep your firmware up to date.

Reader Kit

For integrations with reader kits (e.g., NFC/RFID, card readers, or biometric readers), O Alarm! processes data strictly for the stated purpose of the feature and does not store raw identifiers or biometric templates on our servers. When supported, processing occurs locally on your device. If a third-party SDK is used, its collection and use of data is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
